My Digital Enemy – Enter Floripa – Hotfingers

April 27, 2012

Enter Floripa

The excellent Hotfingers label has a knack of releasing quality single after quality single. Their latest single from My Digital Enemy entitled Enter Floripa is no exception. The standout cut comes from label stalwart and Italian-born producer Manuel De La Mare who returns with another summer banger.

Manuel has spent the past 24 months delivering money-shot releases and remixes. This ability within his musical sphere has pricked the interest of global artists like Mark Knight, John Acquaviva and Feddle Le Grand who have all requested his studio talents, whilst leading Beatport to bestow him the award of ‘Best Remixer 2011’, a suitable follow up on his nomination for ‘Best Deep House and Techno Artist’ back in 2010.

His Enter Floripa remix clearly illustrates his diverse set of talents as he strays from his usual techno sound and opts for a housier influenced cut. Remixing the Brighton, U.K. duo of My Digital Enemy, Manuel delivers a remix that will no doubt be dropped on a wide number of dance floors this summer. The main hook is a summery, spicy Ibiza influenced trumpet which gets fused with Manuel’s signature drums and rolling, subby bass lines. The end result, a cross-genre cut that will no doubt find a home in a number of DJ boxes. Yet another quality release for Alex Kenji’s and Manuel’s excellent Hotfinger’s imprint.
