Welcome back to Festival Fever, our weekly feature highlighting the biggest and most prolific electronic music festivals on the planet. We try to keep the focus on the Canadian scene although every last Tuesday of the month we present to you a different international mega-festival. This week we head to Las Vegas, Nev. to discover the third annual Exodus Festival. This year’s edition will be taking place during the May long weekend and includes events scheduled throughout sin city’s finest venues. With a club event each night and a pool party both Saturday and Sunday, there is no better way to live the true Vegas experience.

This exciting line up of parties is presented by the dedicated team at Uniq Lifestyle Entertainment Group, a Toronto-based entertainment firm credited with creating some of the city’s most exclusive restaurants, lounges and nightclubs. With top tier service, skilled management, original design, cutting edge cuisine and unparalleled VIP service, Uniq Lifestyle attracts hip, trend setting clients to premier venues. In addition to owning and operating a highly successful roster of dining and nightlife establishments, they also offer a wide range of consulting services for those looking to outsource the operations of their venue. Uniq has made a footprint for themselves in the Canadian Scene with years of accomplishments and is now striving to become more successful internationally with Exodus and other endeavours abroad. Uniq owned club Cobra London (ON) is a newcomer in the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs poll this year, ranking at number 44 and shows how serious Uniq is about developing the dance music scene in North America. Although the main demographic for this Exodus event is Canadians, more and more Americans are purchasing tickets as the Memorial Day holiday is a week later and tickets for those parties can be found for as much as ten times the price of Exodus passes.

Essentially created to provide a more affordable option for the average club goer in Vegas, Exodus has achieved that feat and more. Recognizing the astronomical prices and wait lines at all the hottest clubs, UNIQ decided to feature a series of parties which are much more affordable and accessible. Purchasing the all-access VIP wristband entitles you to no line and no cover charges. Also, no questions asked at the door of any Official Exodus event. You are greeted by an Exodus VIP host who will escort you in. This relaxed and affordable atmosphere allows the average person to live the true Las Vegas VIP experience without all the outlandish costs normally associated with the lifestyle.

This three-day event encompasses all aspects of the traditional Las Vegas party scene, day parties by the pool and night parties in some of the most extravagant clubs. The venues get overloaded with sexy crowds and sets performed by some of the world’s most talented DJs keep the parties going late into the mornings. Last year the line up of headlining DJs included internationally renowned Avicii for a day party by the pool.  Also appearing for an afternoon performance by the pool, Will.i.am kept the dance floor packed and the vibe high. Check out this video of last year’s action.

This year’s opening party will take place at Haze nightclub and will feature Mark Knight live and in person. Haze is one of the newer spots in Vegas, located in the new CityCenter which is beginning to receive more recognition and will make a perfect venue to launch the weekend of festivities. Not only will international headliner Mark Knight be playing that night, perhaps some of his esteemed colleagues will be joining him as this party also celebrates the launch of a residency for The Toolroom Knights in this luxurious nightclub.

Saturday starts off with the Wet Republic pool party which will kick things into high gear as fans dance the day away aside the breathtaking MGM Grand Ultra Pool and surroundings. Wet Republic redefines poolside entertainment by combining the vibrancy and energy of Las Vegas with supreme poolside amenities. Setting the standard for entertainment and luxury by the pool, Wet Republic features two spectacular saltwater pools, eight individual pools and spas, exclusive VIP Bungalows, hip party cabanas, spacious daybeds and oversized deluxe chaise lounges. Lounge by or in the water with a cocktail or unwind in the privacy of your very own Bungalow. Wet Republic is transforming the Las Vegas pool party scene and is the must-see, must-experience pool destination. The evening on Saturday will have a different feel inside Pure Nightclub. Located within Ceasar’s Palace Casino, this 36,000 square foot, two story indoor and outdoor night club is mind blowing. Unique décor and a free flowing room make it easy to mingle and will set up the next day of festivities perfectly.

Sunday will feature a higly anticipated pool party at Tao Beach, an outdoor oasis of pools and cabanas located within the Venetian Hotel and Casino. Fans will be privilidged to a set by Michael Woods, a world renowned music producer and DJ. Tao Beach is a Balinese escape in the midst of all the Vegas commotion. Boasting day beds for lounging and lush horticulture, Toa has put the emphasis on the music that drives the party with a center stage DJ booth fully equipped for international talent. Clearly evident with the appearance OF the U.K. superstar on sunday at Exodus Festival.

XS is the hot nightclub inside the Wynn/Encore resort. It was recently ranked the #1 nightclub in the United States by the 2010 Nighclub and Bar 100 Ranking and currently has a significant number of the top DJs in the world signed to residencies. The closing party will be held at this unique venue featuring a performance by Manufactured Supertars. The Manufactured Superstars are an electro, progressive, and house music DJ/production duo from Denver, Colorado. Their stated goal has been “to make audiences dance and have a good time” which they have done succesfully since 2005 playing the biggest festivals in America including Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. The indoor outdoor feel at XS coupled with the unbelievable sound system and 40,000 square feet bottle service area puts it in a class of it’s own and few clubs in the world likely compare to the feeling of richness this venue portrays. Keeping in mind the affordable ticket prices for this event, seems like fans that are lucky enough to be at XS on Sunday of Exodus Festival this year are in for a real treat.

The 2012 Headrush Model Search is a great opportunity for the ladies. Winners receive free admission to Exodus with all access wrist bands, $750 in spending money, Exodus bikinis with other gear and a professional photo shoot at Tao Beach with world class photographer Paul Buceta. Any ladies interested in participating in the contest can fill out a small form and submit pictures on the website. Best of luck!

In addition to hosting this significant three day party in Vegas, Uniq also lined up a series of Launch parties to take place in Canada leading up to the Festival itself. Cheval Bar in Toronto played host to the first of four just weeks ago on April 8. Last week, the remaining three launch parties took place in western Canada. The Republik nightclub in Calgary and Opera nightclub in Winnipeg both hosted Exodus parties with success. Finally, LED Lounge in Vancouver hosted the last of four launch parties and successfully helped build the Exodus buzz. If Canadians had not heard about this awesome party, they have now.

Las Vegas is an internationally renowned hotspot for gambling, shopping and fine dining. The city bills itself as ‘The Entertainment Capital of the World’, and is famous for its consolidated casino–hotels and associated entertainment. This elegant town is likely one of the best destinations in the world for nightlife. Anyone who has experienced it for themselves will be sure to tell you, sin city is well worth the trip. Although tickets are available to purchase for the individual events, we highly suggest you grab the all-access wrist band here for full access to all events.

We sat down with Managing Partner, Andy Deonarine for a short Q&A on Exodus Festival

When was Exodus Las Vegas started and how did it come about?

Exodus Las Vegas is going into our 3rd season and was started in 2010.  It came about when a few of the partners who frequented Las Vegas on the regular realized the astronomical costs to get into the right events quickly.  We wondered how the average person gets in without waiting 2 hours or having to pay $500 a head to experience the great Las Vegas nightlife.

So the Exodus Las Vegas wristband allows the average person to experience Las Vegas like a true VIP?

Exactly! By purchasing our all-access VIP wristband you are entitled to NO LINE & NO COVER CHARGES…no questions asked when you come to the door at anyone of our Official Exodus events.  You will be greeted by an Exodus VIP host at the door who will escort you into the Exodus wristband line to get processed.  We also have a direct number that you can call to book VIP tables without any extra charges besides the actual table costs.

How do you manage to work this all out?

All of the partners involved are some of the best Canada has to offer in terms of nightclub owners, promoters & building large scale events.  We have spent a lot of time building relationships in the Las Vegas market that in turn has allowed us to negotiate these great deals for our guests.  Exodus Las Vegas brand is now seen as a must have for the top venues on the weekend of our getaway.

When does Exodus Las Vegas take place?

It takes place on May 18th to May 21st 2012 and falls on The Victoria Day Long Weekend.  We target Canadians but have noticed a large influx of Americans purchasing wristbands as they have the Memorial Long Weekend the week after. Due to the high demand ticket prices and VIP tables increase as much as ten times. Exodus provides a more relaxed and affordable festival atmosphere.

What venues and entertainment can people look forward to this year?

2012 venues include 1 Oak at Mirage, Wet Republic Ultra Pool at MGM, Pure at Caesars Palace, Tao Beach at Venetian and XS at Encore. Artist line up includes Mark Knight, Michael Woods, and Manufactured Superstars among others.

How much does the All Access Wristband Cost?

Presale tickets only lasted until March 1st, with prices now at $80 for ladies and $150 for men for the All Access.  The remaining wristbands are selling quickly, so get yours now to avoid disappointment!  The value is incredible considering you get into five of Las Vegas hottest parties with no hassles at the door.

You can purchase your wristbands exclusively at www.wantickets.com/exodus

Do you have to book at a specific hotel to buy your wristband?

Absolutely not!  We encourage everyone to search for a hotel that fits your budget & needs.  Our travel partner is www.SellOffVacations.com/travel and you can get full access to travel options by visiting our page www.exoduslasvegas.com/travel .
