The Drop 010

Hey guys! Sorry for late post. Exams are killing me! But they’re all taken care of now so it’s time for your next dish of The Drop. This week I’m going to be taking a close look at The Disco Fries, a favorite of mine. The duo (Danny Danger and Nick Ditri) were recently featured in ‘American Reunion’ (feature film) with two of their singles: Party On and Heartbeat. Both tracks are electro-packed along with their signature ‘Disco’ vibes and have great pop and semi-reggae vocals respectively.

The duo recently locked in a residency at the Palms Hotel in Las Vagas. What better place than Vegas to party with some of the most badass DJs around? Upcoming dates at the Palms include:

April 27 – Moon at the Palms

April 28 – Rain at the Palms

May 27 – Ghostbar at the Palms

This next track is by far my favorite by The Disco Fries. It features the vocals of Mike Posner and Big Sean. If you’re a male you can probably relate to these lyrics at least a little bit. If not at least they’re entertaining! “Are we gonna F*%K or not?!” [DROP!!!]

Any of you guys like a good bootleg? You really can’t go wrong when you mash one really good song with another really good song, can you? The Disco Fries took Hardwell’s Zero 76 and tossed they’re latest track Born to Fly on top of it. Boom!

The here’s the original of Born To Fly:

Something else that’s pretty sick is that The Disco Fries are not just DJs/producers … Apparently they are software developers too! They recently designed a piece of software called Könversate. This special patch turns Novation Launchpad into a customizable display board. If you use Max 4 Live then it is a free plugin. If you want to read/find out more you can see it here:

On a side note … yes it’s to do with Ultra. It would seem I have been Ultra obsessed the last few weeks but this video is so f-ing sick. Especially the part where the video is bobbing to the head of 12th Planet when he’s spinning … that and the part with the girl in the banana suit. Illllll. P.S. Nice “Ughhh” face banana-lady lol. Skrillex and 12th Planet tore that place uuuuuuup!

Catch me next week, same time, same place!
